Personal Profile:

Shiv, as he is popularly called, is from the Scindia School, Gwalior; Graduate in Management from the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and a Post Graduate in Personnel Management & HR from XLRI, Jamshedpur.

He claims, “He has earned himself a “PhD” in mistakes from the University of Hard Knocks!” He maintains that experience and learning from mistakes is his main stock in trade.

He has over 37 years of experience in Industrial Management & Management Consulting. He took over as the Managing Director of ACCORD from November 01, 1999.

Shiv is a third generation Management Professional – his grandfather was a Prime Minister of a large Indian Princely State, his father a well-known freedom fighter and a trade unionist and his mother an HR Manager - thus making him a product of labour and management relationships and a natural consultant!

Professional Profile:

Shiv has worked with the TATA Group (TATA Motors) for over 8.5 years. Joining them as a management trainee he rose to senior management positions and made a name in HR and general management. He also worked with Bhoruka Steel and headed their HR and administration.

He quit formal employment in 1983, launched himself as a consultant at the age of 33 and founded ACCORD together with his wife Mukta. He is one of the pioneers of professional consulting in India.

He is a specialist in YOGA. His keen interest in the outdoors and adventure sports has enabled him to build a fascinating OUTWARD BOUND experiential training module, which makes use of the outdoors to facilitate deep learning.

Personal Profile:

Mukta is a Graduate in Science and a Post Graduate in Communication & Journalism (Silver medalist) from the Bangalore University. She is a self-made Woman Entrepreneur and a Management Consultant.

32 years back Mukta was "a dedicated Home Manager". She lovingly brought up 2 children, met all responsibilities of an orthodox Indian joint family and did a lot of freelance journalistic work.

Professional Profile:

Mukta has been a Journalist with the Indian Express group of newspapers.

29 years back Mukta set up ACCORD together with her husband and thus commenced her career as a professional and as a consultant. She started as an Executive Director and functioned as the Managing Director from April 1989 to October 1999. During this period ACCORD established itself as a premier Consulting and Training organization in India

Training Profile:

Today she is exclusively responsible for the design, development, implementation and evaluation of all ACCORD Training modules. Her additional forte is the creation of fun filled exercises, games, simulations, new training methodologies and assessment tools.

Workshops created by her are a blend of practical experience combined with the latest in Management science.

Personal Profile:

Saurabh is an experienced business management professional, trainer and entrepreneur with expertiese in technology, strategy, analytics, business management and learning & development. He has lived and worked in India, Singapore, Germany, Philippines, UAE and USA and has travelled extensively in Asia, Europe and USA which has helped him develop excellent cross-cultural skills and sensitivities.

Saurabh is a Distinction Engineering Graduate from the University of Mysore, India and a Distinction MBA Graduate from the Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Philippines. He has also been an exchange student at the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth, New Hampshire, USA.

 

Professional Profile:

Saurabh started his career with i-flex Solutions (now Oracle Financial Services) as a technology consultant in its Banking Products Division. He was hand-picked to manage and lead implementations and provide user training for high profile projects in Singapore and Germany.

He worked as a consultant with Pannell Kerr Forster in Singapore in strategy consulting for large companies and government agencies. He consulted on feasibility studies, financial valuations, exchange listing criteria and internal audits for clients in South East Asia and the Middle East. He has also worked with RedPill Solutions Pte. Ltd. (acquired by IBM) in Singapore in strategy and analytics consulting for clients in South East Asia and the Middle East.

Saurabh joined ACCORD in June 2009 and has taken over as the Managing Director from 1st June 2011. He is responsible for reinventing Accord, expanding its business lines and developing ACCORD's business in the international market. His recent client engagements include structuring an ESOP plan for a 60-member company in Singapore, and consulting on and facilitating strategy planning interventions for leading MNCs in India (IT, healthcare). He also regularly facilitates various workshops on soft skills, business skills and financial skills for clients in India and Singapore.
